ICT Job: ICT Support Officer

Job Summary:
Express Freight Management is seeking a skilled ICT Support Technician to provide technical assistance and support to users of computer and web technologies. The successful candidate will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, maintain systems, and provide guidance to users to ensure the efficient use of technology.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• ICT Support & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and network problems for end-users.
• Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals.
• User Support: Provide technical assistance and guidance on IT-related issues.
• Network Management: Implement and maintain computer networks for optimal performance.
• Hardware Maintenance: Repair and replace faulty hardware components, including terminals, printers, and modems.
• Documentation: Create and maintain IT system documentation, procedures, and user guides.
• Communication: Clearly convey technical information to technical and non-technical users.
• Proactive Maintenance: Recommend improvements and implement preventative measures to enhance system performance.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networks, and operating systems.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Customer Service: Focused on providing high-quality support to users.
• Adaptability: Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to change.
• Teamwork: Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+), or equivalent.
• Experience: 1–3+ years in hardware/software troubleshooting, Windows systems, and basic networking (DNS, DHCP, cabling). New graduates with a positive attitude are encouraged to apply.
