 Job Vacancy: IT Support Officer (Port Moresby Based)

South Pacific Post Limited is inviting applications from suitably qualified and motivated individuals for the position of IT Support Officer based in Port Moresby. The successful candidate will support the company’s IT operations and ensure smooth technology services for staff and clients.

General Role:

• Manage and maintain IT helpdesk systems.
• Provide desktop support to users.
• Setup, maintain, and install PC hardware and software.
• Setup, support, and maintain company networks.
• Perform daily data backup and maintenance.
• Conduct IT asset audits and manage inventory.
• Assist the IT Senior (Systems) Team with various projects and tasks.

Person Specification:

Education & Qualifications:

• Certificate or Diploma in IT, Computing, or related fields from a recognized institute.
• Experience & Knowledge:
• Knowledge of computer technology fundamentals and IT applications.
• Hands-on experience with hardware, software, and networking.
• Understanding of database administration.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

• Sober habits and reliable character.
• Strong planning, organizational, and presentation skills (desirable).
• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
• Friendly, cooperative personality with good interpersonal skills.

• Honest, punctual, and dependable.

Available for after-hours work or on-call duties when required.
