About the Role
The Salvation Army is seeking a qualified Projects Accountant to oversee the financial management of donor-funded programs, including the Church Partnership Program and the Project Development Department. Based in Port Moresby, you will ensure financial accuracy, donor compliance, and strong internal controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, project budgets, and donor reports.
  • Track expenditures, monitor variances, and perform financial forecasting.
  • Manage transactions, reconciliations, and reporting using NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
  • Maintain compliance frameworks, support audit requirements, and manage financial risk.
  • Communicate and collaborate with donors, auditors, and project teams.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (CPA, CA, ACCA) preferred.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably with an NGO or donor-funded projects.
  • Proficiency in NetSuite or similar accounting/ERP software.
  • Strong knowledge of grant management, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
