ABOUT THE ROLE
IBSUniversity is seeking a dynamic and experienced academic to join our School of
Education as a Senior Lecturer. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in
shaping the next generation of educators in Papua New Guinea. You will be responsible
for delivering high-quality instruction, driving curriculum innovation, and fostering
a supportive learning environment that prepares students for successful careers in
teaching.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver engaging, student-centered lectures and tutorials across undergraduate and
postgraduate programs.
- Contribute to the design, review, and quality assurance of curriculum materials.
- Supervise and mentor students in research projects and teaching practicums.
- Engage in active research and scholarly activities, contributing to the academic
profile of the School.
- Participate in community engagement and professional development initiatives.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Education: A Master's degree (PhD preferred) in Education, Curriculum Studies,
Educational Leadership, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Substantial experience in tertiary teaching, teacher training, or
educational leadership.
- Skills:
* Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to engage and inspire diverse student cohorts.
* Strong proficiency in digital learning technologies and educational software.
* Experience with curriculum development and academic quality assurance processes.
- Desirable: A track record of research publications and successful grant applications.
