About the Position
The Bougainville Healthy Communities Programme (BHCP) is seeking a capable and experienced Head of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership and ensure effective financial management across the Programme.
The successful applicant will report directly to the Programme Director and serve as a member of the Senior Management Team.
Key Responsibilities
The Head of Finance will be responsible for:
- Leading the Programme's financial management and planning;
- Preparing and monitoring budgets and financial reports;
- Ensuring compliance with donor and financial requirements;
- Coordinating audits and supporting audit processes;
- Maintaining strong internal financial controls;
- Managing cash flow and financial operations;
- Supervising and supporting the finance team; and
- Providing strategic financial advice to Programme management.
Essential Requirements
Applicants should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field;
- At least seven years of relevant financial-management experience;
- Previous experience in a senior finance or supervisory position;
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, auditing, compliance and internal controls;
- High standards of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism; and
- Experience managing donor-funded or development programmes is highly desirable.
