Nambawan Super Limited (NSL) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced Papua New Guineans for the role of Compliance Officer within its Risk & Compliance Department, based at the NSL Head Office in Port Moresby.

Reporting to the Manager Compliance, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the Fund operates in full compliance with the Superannuation (General Provisions) Act, Prudential Standards, internal policies, and all relevant regulatory requirements.

JOB:  COMPLIANCE OFFICER - Nambawan Super


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and interpret applicable laws, regulations, and standards
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures
  • Identify and assess compliance risks across business operations
  • Conduct compliance reviews, audits, and spot checks
  • Assist in investigations relating to policy breaches, misconduct, and conflicts of interest
  • Provide advice to senior management on compliance risks and mitigation strategies
  • Deliver staff training and awareness on compliance matters
  • Promote a strong compliance culture across the organisation
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to stakeholders
  • Maintain effective working relationships across departments
  • Perform additional compliance-related duties as required

Skills & Experience

  • Degree in Business, Law, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Professional certifications such as CCEP-I, CAMS, CIA, or CFE will be an advantage
  • 3–5 years’ experience in compliance, audit, or legal roles (preferably in the financial/superannuation sector)
  • Strong knowledge of PNG superannuation laws and regulatory frameworks
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must be willing to live and work in Port Moresby
