The SDP Scholarship Program is now accepting applications for its 2027 Scholarship Awards, providing students of Western Province origin with an opportunity to pursue tertiary studies at recognised national institutions in Papua New Guinea.
The program is aimed at supporting students in fields that contribute to the development of Western Province, with scholarship recipients expected to use their education and skills to contribute to their communities.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Continuing tertiary students and newly accepted tertiary students are eligible to apply.
- Applicants must satisfy the minimum entry requirements of their chosen institution.
- Applicants must have completed Grade 12 or FODE and meet the requirements for their selected tertiary program.
Areas of Study
Scholarships are available for studies in the following fields:
- Agriculture Sciences
- Rural Health and Nursing
- Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
- Business Studies
- Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)
- Teaching
