Position Overview

Air Niugini is seeking a Technical Data Entry Officer to join its Maintenance Control team in Port Moresby. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely entry, updating, and management of aircraft maintenance records using Maintenance Information Systems such as WinAir and CAMP.

This role supports multiple aircraft fleets including Boeing 737 and 767, Airbus A220, Fokker 100 and 70, Dash 8 Classics and Q400, and Falcon 900EX, ensuring compliance with maintenance programs and record-keeping procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily updates and filing of Aircraft Journey Technical Log (AJTL) entries including flight hours, cycles, pilot reports, defects, corrective actions, and oil usage
• Maintain and update aircraft trip records for all fleet types
• Process and file maintenance task cards including A-Checks, C-Checks, daily/service checks, and unscheduled tasks
• Assist with updating component movements in Maintenance Information Systems
• Support updates to airframe, engine, APU, and propeller logbooks
• Maintain and organize technical records archives
• Assist forward planners with up-to-date maintenance scheduling data
• Conduct data verification and ensure accuracy within MIS systems

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in Computing
• Preferably a Degree in Information & Communication Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field
• Strong computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with data systems is an advantage
