Key Responsibilities

As a Fixed Asset Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of company assets, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with accounting standards. Your duties will include:

• Maintaining and controlling fixed asset records and systems
• Recording asset acquisitions, disposals, and tracking project costs
• Managing asset tagging and register updates
• Calculating depreciation (book and tax)
• Reconciling asset registers with general ledger accounts
• Conducting asset verification and physical counts
• Reviewing asset impairment and obsolescence
• Preparing audit schedules and supporting audit processes
• Monitoring capital expenditure against approved budgets
• Advising management on asset-related policies and disposals
• Managing company insurance matters related to assets

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or related field
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar accounting role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis
• High attention to detail and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in spreadsheets and accounting software
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
